Description Stem Project June 25/ National coding week October 2025
OVERVIEW
Delivery of curriculum enrichment classes to children aged 8 to 11 years. . Enabling children who
are under-represented in Stem to develop coding skills using a range of activities which
encourage computational thinking.
Lesson plans will cover the following key areas
● Algorithms and Programming: Developing precise instructions
● Sequencing algorithms
● Debugging sequences
● Repetition (loops, iteration)
● Selection (if statements)
● Creating Digital Content - Patterns in Computing and Art Repetition (loops, iteration) and
procedures
Techytots will provide
● All of the resources
● Staff that are experienced and qualified to deliver the classes
Safeguarding
● Staff hold on line registered DBS
● Staff have safeguarding training, including keeping children safe in Education
● TechyTots follows safer recruitment
Health and Safety
● Full risk assessment will be carried out for each venue
● All of the equipment is off line - no internet access
● Evidence of full public liability insurance
Evaluation
● Children will be observed /asked questions at the start of the class and again at the end
of the class.
● Children will give feedback on what they have enjoyed and what they would like to do
next.
● Photos of the children engaged in activities.
