Girls' Coding Cluster Day

Description
Subject leaders to visit 3 cluster schools to deliver half day face to face initial introductory training into the use of Microbits.
Subject leaders will travel and bring all the necessary resources, hardware and refreshments to the school settings.
Year 3 and Year 4 girls will be the target group to promote coding for young girls prior to upper key stage in order to enthuse and inspire this cohort.
On the event day itself, girls will travel with TAs / Teachers from their school settings to Colerne and complete coding challenges and activities.
Resources - (card, pens, certificates, tape, glue, printing costs etc) hardware and refreshments will be provided.
In order to deliver this whole event, subject leaders will require time to plan and organise activities which therefore will mean time out of their classrooms and incur supply cover costs. Time out of the classroom will also be needed on the event day itself.
