Introduction to Coding
St Colmcille's PTA
Description
The event will teach the children to write code, use critical thinking skills and imagination to improve/debug the code they write to achieve a set outcome.
The goal of the event will be to teach the pupils basic code and have an understanding of how coding works and its importance in real world situations.
The target group will be KS2 pupils within St Colmcille's PS, this cohort contains pupils from low income households, socially deprived areas of the town, pupils with no access to ICT equipment and children with additional needs/disabilities.
Without this event the pupils wouldn't be able to access the skills taught by the specialised trainer.
