Coding club

COLERNE C E PRIMARY SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIAT

Description Enrichment sessions for Key Stage Two children to code physical devices - crumble kits, microbits and probots using real world examples and stimuli e.g. coding microbits to be stepcounters, temperature sensors and gaming.

Pupils will be working in teams to share ideas, solve real life problems, code and debug. Children will develop communication, problem-solving, resilience and perseverance skills whilst working on a shared project.

The club will also include some AI coding in order to make it relevant to today's changing technological world.

The club is open to all but is predominately focused on encouraging greater depth students by providing them enrichment sessions beyond the classroom curriculum.
