Year 7 Robotics Club

The Year 7 Robotics club gives students the opportunity to get hands on with physical programming using the BBC Micro:bits to code the Kitronik Move Motors.
This teaches students the basic constructs of sequence, selection and iteration while having fun with robots.
We are targeting Year 7 students who have just joined the school to build their confidence in Computing. It is aimed at both girls and boys and they can work collaboratively to make solutions.
Students will attend the club after school so they have plenty of time to explore the software and the hardware.
Previous robotics club members can come and help, providing near peer support and building relationships with other students. Robotics club students can also get involved in visits to Primary schools to help them with robotics activities.
