coding week- years 3+4

MANORFIELD CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

Opis Key stage 2 (years 3 and 4) children will be taught programming using Marty the Robot. They will use block coding to program Marty to complete certain activities and movements. we have a large number of children with little or no english, a high number of SEN and large proportion of children from underprivelaged backgrounds with 58% of children on free school meals. For this cohort of children, it is vital we teach them coding and programming using real life practical resources that really help with understading and making progress in Computing. These resources will be used daily with all classes from years 3-6 (360 children) across those classes to teach these skills.
