Methods - Hand on experiential learning, develop computational thinking and problem solving skills

To Introduce and encourage interest in STEM in area of multiple deprivation. To use these sessions as an introduction to a programme of coding sessions to take place in community libraries facilitated by volunteers.

Target Group Girls aged 9-11 years

The sessions will take place in the community library near to where the participants live. Parents/Carers and other members of the family will be encouraged to come along to see what the children are learning and also to make use of the library resources. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.

Registration - targeted intervention - East Renfrewshire Council STEM and Digital Education Development Officers will liaise with school staff to invite particular pupils they feel will benefit most from the session/s
