The AWS Data Center Career Tour offers an engaging, behind-the-scenes look at cloud computing technology and the people who make it possible at Amazon Web Services (AWS). This free, 30-minute interactive experience is designed for both classrooms and families, available through the Kahoot! platform with no account required. Students can compete against each other while learning about cloud computing technology, data storage, and streaming services.
The tour is curriculum-aligned with Teach Computing Standards and focuses on STEM education and career awareness. Participants get to meet actual AWS employees who share their career journeys and roles within the company, providing valuable insights into future career opportunities in technology. The program demonstrates how data centers operate sustainably while enabling worldwide streaming and secure data storage, making complex technology concepts accessible and engaging for students.
