Introducing KS2 pupils to coding using the Scratch program.

Year 3 and Year 4 Girls will take part in a day of coding activities and challenges at Colerne Primary School.

This collaborative event will bring year 6 pupils together from across our Trust to compete on a "codeathon" challenge. The hands on activities will consist of nine coding challenges.

Using code to bring spooky Halloween effects to life

In this session, we will use microbits to create a moving box monster. There will be an opportunity to use different sesnsors using microbits.

Developing children's coding skills from the computer to physical computing. Bringing what the children create on the screen to life in a physical format using Lego.

Students will have the opportunity to take part in the Lego league build and then inter school competition. Design, make. Program and then race their inventions around a track. Brining stem to life

Join us for an exciting hands-on LEGO Spike Prime workshop to design, build, and code robots to tackle real-world challenges, while mastering engineering concepts like force, motion, and gear ratios.

Workshop to demonstrate IoT projects using artificial intelligence on BBC micro:bit using various hands-on projects. Face-to-face workshop with the option of live streaming.

An esports club for girls to train in competitive sim racing, building a custom cockpit and breaking into a male-dominated scene.

Using Micro:Bits to empower local autistic children to express how they are feeling as they explore woodland using the screen and radio transmit functions.

STEM computing using the Microbit and Race for the line

KS3 Girls in computing club designed to raise awareness and inspire through practical activities.

Provision and running of a podcast club, for the children to create and host a monthly podcast about their school.

Purchase of Robotical Cogs to enable earlier access to microbit like learning in Year 3. Will be used across KS2 as well, specifically aimed at girls in KS2.

Using wireless, solar powered wildlife cameras to record the visiting birds to the school grounds. We will then use the data to build a page within the school website with observations and recordings.

Children aged 9-10 will learn to create games, animations, and interactive stories using Scratch modules from Code Club, while developing key coding and problem-solving skills.

Cubs and Scouts will learn digital skills over multiple sessions by programming micro:bits to complete a fun and collaborative treasure hunt challenge.
